HOW TO INSTALL LIGHTROOM PRESETS
How to Install Presets on Lightroom CC 2018 and newer
WINDOWS and MAC
You can now install Lightroom presets straight from the plus sign under the Presets dialogue when you are in the Develop Module in Lightroom.
How to Install Presets on Lightroom CC 2017 and older
FOR WINDOWS
-
Open Lightroom
-
Go to: Edit > Preferences > Presets

Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder or Show All Other Lightroom Presets

Double click on Lightroom
-
Double click on Develop Presets
-
Copy the folder(s) of your presets into the Develop Presets folder
-
Restart Lightroom
How to Install Presets on Lightroom CC 2017 and older
FOR MAC
-
Open Lightroom
-
Go to: Lightroom (Dialogue) > Preferences > Presets

Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder or Show All Other Lightroom Presets

Double click on Lightroom

Double click on Develop Presets

Copy the folder(s) of your presets into Develop Presets folder

Restart Lightroom

How to use Lightroom Presets
1. Simply enter the Develop Module in Lightroom
2. Open the Presets panel on the left side and click a preset to apply.
Tips for Best Results
1. Make sure the photo has a balanced exposure before applying the preset, if not adjust the exposure slider. Re-adjust exposure after applying the preset as needed.
2. Make sure the photo has a neutral White Balance, if not you can manually adjust the white balance slider or select auto white balance. Re-adjust after applying the preset as needed.
3. Presets by Christopher Lee are designed for RAW images for maximum dynamic range and quality. If applying to jpeg files, make sure to have neutral color and tone profiles in your in-camera settings and follow the tips above.
